Okay that's the starting bid, it's in need of some TLC and it's a 1997 model. But, hey it's a V8 UTE for shed money...

Wow, if only I was handy with the spammers and had space to store it. Someone is going to get a bargain!

It looks like a nice car , it seems to be a 5 litre not 5.7 I don't know much about earlier engine and getting parts for them plus it's either a 5 speed manual or 4 speed auto , if it was a 5.7 I would probably get it

Shame there's no pictures of the engine.

I also think it's a 5 litre Aussie engine, and from the interior shot, I think it's an Auto.

I love the Monaro and there is definitely one on my to get car list!

What goes wrong with the older ones? Do they have any issues with rust? Does it have a hideously complicated fuel injection or electric system?

I would expect rust being an issue , and as normal worse where you can't see it , it could be a money pit , 5.7 v8 I would take the chance but being only lol 5 litre and not ln the normal parts bin of the 5.7 ls range then I'm put off , plus the age of it and it's clearly kept outside , you could argue price is reasonable but if it was done up and sold on I know it would not hold its value as much as even an early ls1 ute

Looks like a VS series 2, ie one of the last updates on the VN body. I did cheat here as there was a VS series 3 after it, that had some VT items on it, but the date gives it away.
It would be the older 5 litre Holden engine. mmm.....168kw maybe...solid rear axle. Plenty of parts for the engines in Oz. Fuel injection. Auto in this case. Not the original seats but the ones in the pictures look ok.

Yeah 5 litre 308 very tough motor so worth a punt in my eyes
My Dad had 250,000 miles out of his 308 so good strong motor "in standard form mind"
