My wife doesnt want to talk to me about my new camera (im boring apparently), so i thought I would share here.

I have a 600d but have been eyeing up a replacement. A case of want more than need, but I felt I could do better in terms of iso performance and found the viewfinder a little small (plus the fact that it basically wont focus in live view mode). Also a bit short on focus points, although this is very minor.

I think I have also become clear what camera suits me. My mum has an OMd 1 and my dad has a 5D mk3. Mirrorless, was the way I wanted to go! Portability is a concern for me as I have 3 kids and there have been a couple of occasions recently when I have not taken the 600 as it seems a bit of an effort. I like the 600 best when using my 50mm prime, which makes it relatively compact but fun to shoot with also.

I have been lining myself up to buy the fuji xt10. It seems like a fun camera to use (aperture ring and shutter dial) and i only want to take stills. But I found myself in John Lewis yesterday where they had a fuji ex2 with the 18-55 2.8-4 lens for £510, so I grabbed it! It is a return, but there are no marks and strap has not been opened. Cashier suspected someone bought 2 cameras and just returned the one they least liked after a day playing with them. It comes with the JL 2 year guarantee.

First impressions are good. AF seems snappy enough, it feels quality in the hand, evf is so easy to get used to. It seems a big upgrade from the 600d in terms of features, frames per sec etc. I havent downloaded any images yet, but suspect I wont be disappointed.

Anyone looking for a 600d?!

I have an X-E2 (along with several other mirrorless Fuji X series cameras), it's a great piece of kit, and lovely to use. Make sure though it has the latest firmware on it and the lens (this will ensure the fastest AF), and there is also rumoured a big firmware update in November

Will do. I go the odd rally event so improving the focus tracking would be useful. You have some great images in that bunch!

I took a few test shots in fading light this evening. Im not entirely sure if it is important but first thing I noticed is that raw files come out of the camera far better and dont really need much processing (below is out of camera). Files out of the 600d were flat, dull and lifeless.
