Well - the inevitable happened and I busted one.....

The good news is, I bought one of Geert Van's from the TVR Scimitar Centre in the Netherlands and am well chuffed with the repro quality.

We really should consider the tried and trusted S Parcel Delivery Method, by taking a detour Via Geert's place on a Euro-tour one day (or get Hans to do a Detour at Christmas on his way to the UK). DPD did their absolute best to destroy the parcel in transit and it looked like the box had been used as a football at lunchtime fag break, but fortunately, he wrapped it so well, even the clowns at DPD couldn't ruin it.

Good to hear about a new source of S-parts, but some of those prices are quite inflated.
e.g. - Radiator fan thermal switch €40.70. Just bought one on eBay (from a minispares dealer) for under £7, incl P+P.

Agree - think you have to have an idea of what goes for what generally. E.g Brake Servo's which really do vary on the market by as much as + - £250!

The Indicators are also a question of trying to keep original look rather than improvise, which depends on the eye of the beholder as to the viewpoint on such things.

I also noticed that his unit cost before ebay fees and couriers is actually pretty competitive in Euro's - I'm sure he's been on here before mentioning ways to cut the courier costs etc....... hence a suggestion of a divert when on the mainland!

I also agree - BTW - where are the indicators on the "www.scimitar-tvrcentre.nl" page ? I couldn't find them

He seems to manufacture in batches and then post up on EBAY for the indicators. As I say, might be worth a direct approach due to fee's and courier costs etc

Guys - had an e-mail from Geert at the TVR/Scimitar centre in Netherlands re: the indicators, and he mentioned there is more rare stuff in the pipeline (I assume remanufactured like the indicators). Worth keeping links here, given our concerns about what may or may not be happening at TVR parts and the old David Gerald stock.........
