I have just been checking the price's of Monaro's on Autotrader,.....
I saw an Odessey blue CV8 with ORANGE wheels... and then a Red CV8 with a set of BLING wheels from Hell !!
Each to their own, but it just goes to show, what the current owner really likes does not mean the next one will..if there is a next owner. So be careful when you Mod one.....
regards John

Reading the advert for the red one with those wheels, my favourite bit was:
The one with the orange wheels, it's certainly a statement, and painting them orange before selling it seems a VERY odd move as they are quite a challenging colour, but otherwise it's a good looking car, and at least now the loud 5.7l V8 Aussie muscle car will stand out a bit, eh?
Those wheels on that red one though. My god. I mean, they're just ugly wheels full stop. Put them on a Monaro? They're f
king awful.

A beautiful, unmolested car, that is hard to find fault with

Also I see the Quicksilver 44k miles one, rebadged HSV but all old badges removed including the Monaro badge - I never saw the point in removing a badge that has remained unchanged throughout the models history. It is a cool badge! Also the V8 6.0 litre badge missing from the flanks, just a V8 badge there - I find this odd. Or maybe I'm odd, who knows...
Also thought this article may be interesting to some, brilliant bit of history on a rather shabby old Monaro... maybe some orange wheels would have helped it sell quicker!

Hi Russell - I can assure you, it was bog standard. Glad to see that you have 'her' BTW - and that you've taken her to a lake for a day out (looked at your pic).
:-)
Best regards
Ian

So glad you are enjoying the car still - and I still prefer silver! (But don't tell the 500).
