I have vague recollection that you mention recently about making up your own braided brake lines. If you have, can you point me to where to buy the bits. Cheers.

The hose is stainless braided but the ends are BZP. If I were to do it again think I'd shop around for stainless fittings, some of mine are tarnishing already!

Think Demon Tweeks do them, but not cheap?

What specialist tools / skills does this need...if any? I just went to my spreadsheet of 'to do' and I'd forgotten about flexible hoses...

Have got all the tools now and fittings to do my new brake lines, will make my own of these too if it's not too arduous!

Andrew - there is one specialist skill you do need to acquire and that is to remind me to pack that gear-leaver gaiter before we go on the Euro-Tour, which is now only 4 weeks and 1 day away

Nothing special and just the confidence in your skill/ability that you've done it right..... failure doesn't bear thinking about!



plenty of "how to" video's on U Tube

agreed just normal hand tools - watch 2 or 3 videos
and do a couple of practice ends - hint = buy a few more olives - dirt cheap
