"So is the mini a maxi value? For me, clearly, no. When I consider that a good deal of my time is spent running applications like Disk Defragmenter, Scandisk, Norton AV, Windows Update and Ad-Aware--none of which are available for the Mac platform--it doesn't make sense for me to "switch" to a Mac at this time."

Priceless.

Must have been brain-washed during the MCSE.

I've just got a Mini. Absolutely love it. It can't replace my PC yet, but will be a second computer in the house and i'll use it over the PC if i can. The next 'full-size' computer i buy will definitely be a Mac (PowerMac G5).

You've got to be a bit of a moron if you have to spend a great deal of time running those programs... If he's mentally challenged, perhaps he would be better of with a mac!

edit to add...

I've just read the review and I don't think he's joking either...

The review is a joke, very tongue-in-cheek - the confusion between Mac Mini and iPod Mini is a dead giveaway.

I've read it again, and whilst it does seem tongue in cheek, it's pretty hit and miss!

It might also be the perfect computer for grandmothers or autistic children, for example.
