I've seen these headers online, has anyone used them before? I've asked them ahead of time and they said that they would fit a Monaro VXR without any issues however I'd like to ask folk here first and see. I know there are previous posts about headers but I wasn't sure if it was the same kit I'm looking at here.

hehe

Hopefully they're a good quality stainless, they certainly look good. Maybe let the forum know the end total before purchasing, you might get to split postage. I really shouldn't be tempted...!

I fitted these with no issues fit and quality i thought was excellent. they are very long and go under the car not leaving much room for cats between my wortec cat back but i fabricated my own using magnaflow cats and have had no issues and no drone .

shipping was $350 then i think the customs wanted another £150 can't quite remember that bit

dont forget your loom extentions (if ls2 not sure about ls1) and plug lead heat sheilds

shipping was fedex and took 7 days to arrive from the funds being cleared ( bank transfer only )

Ive had them on my car now for over a year and they have been fine. As said they are quite long so fitting a cat will need some fabrication (i didnt bother and just left the cats out). They also sit quite low to the floor. Just dont use the cheap flange to head bolts they supply!

Mine on my vt ls1 did not need the loom or the cats so all a lot easier. But overall good fit. Some pin holes in the welds that might need attention but overall good. I never got charged customs but even with very cheap. I think I paid 250 dollars shipping.

under 500 quid delivered using the exchange rate on xe.com and before any duty applied, are there any cheaper options on the market? Though tbh I still fancy getting a set of the 04 VXR Monaro "shorty" headers as a straight swap in for the standard ones. These are tempting though at that price.

yesears this is with cats which quietened it down considerably and gave it a nice deep bass with a roar when you press GO , without the cats it was pure nascar but still quite reasonable in the cabin with no drone on either setup

Sadly I haven't got the time took me long enough to get round to doing my own and to be honest I don't think it would be that more expensive to get them done at a exhaust shop . By the time I got all the materials together there wasn't much change £250

No worries mate. That's them now ordered and on their way smile
Since I was in the buying mood I ended up also purchasing coilovers and a VCM Induction unit.
It's going to be a quiet few months financially haha
