Did the Paris-Roubaix challenge this year. Was tough. Weather wasn't great and riding on the cobbles gets really old really quickly and by the time you get near the end your legs and arms hurt a lot. The first few sections are littered with bidons, tool kits, tubes, clothes and anything else that wasn't secured properly at the start, it really is quite funny to see.

We stayed in Roubaix (which is a hell hole) for the night prior to the event and the night afterwards. We watched the race the following day which was glorious and then drove to Ghent for the last night for some beer and food.

I said I wouldn't do it again but we are already talking about next years event.

I rode it a couple of years ago, got my cobble and thousand yard stare - that's 132 miles of undistinguished fields and hellish cobbles I'm not doing again.

Not a place to take your best bike/wheels. I stripped and cleaned every single component on mine after the ride.

This was one of the last sections of cobbles and was uphill and into the wind iirc. It hurt a lot.
