In looking for a Vantage S I've seen a few with manual boxes.

I thought the proper S' were Sportshift only?

Manual was introduced as a configuration option on Vantage S in 2013 (£5K cheaper)

At launch in 2011 it was indeed Sportshift only

Thank you.

Hmm like an SP10/N430 without the daft paint.

SP10 was actually a 'proper' S but indeed you had no choice on the paint or trim

N430 is neither a standard Vantage or an S but rather a standard Vantage with S mechanicals (though all the other S bits can be added if you so wish)

Both could/can be had as either manual or Sportshift

Ideally I'd like an S with the Kevlar seats but finding one is impossible.

The carbon fibre lightweight seats are a GBP2.5k option which seems like a lot, so not sure how many cars have been specced with them, either by dealers or individuals?

I think the SP10 has them.

I've had sports, and have lightweights now. Wouldn't go back. They have no heaters though, if that's important, and some people don't fit them.

Nope, was still an option on the SP10

Is the OP is after a manual, Mikey? Yours is SS2, non?

Really surprised yours hasn't found a home yet mate. If someone's looking for a SportShift 'S', yours is pretty much perfectly spec'd.

OP, I also searched for a manual S with lightweights for aaaaages. Rare as hen's teeth. Esp as I wanted a non black/grey/silver car! A lovely Magma Red one did come up at AM Cheshire, but I just missed out.

Ended up going for a manual non-S 4.7 with lightweights in the end, and adding the S bodywork. Whilst the quicker steering rack and brakes on the 'S' appeal, I figured I could do without the extra 10bhp and v happy with the combo I now have.

Not impossible nono . Rare yes, but they do come up and definitely worth waiting for.

Got my SP10 2 months ago and it is wonderful. The lightweight seats suit the character of the car perfectly and are definitely worth waiting for in my opinion. You are limited to Ceramic Grey with the SP10 but it is a great "colour" even to someone like me who sits naturally in the "Non-black/silver/grey" camp. It is also a high spec version with all the proper V8S bits (CF splitter/diffuser etc.) and mine has everything else too (Premium audio, reversing camera, umbrella!!).

There are a few non-SP10 manual V8VSs with lightweight seats out there but you may wait a lifetime for one of those. Good luck with your search.

I think you must have missed this part of the OP requirements!
