What is the statute of limitations for speeding offences in France?
A few years back, My mate Dave (genuinely a friend of mine named David..) had a hire car in France. The credit card used for the hire was subsequently docked the €50 "handling fee" that we think was to give the address to les Flics. However, nothing more came of it, nothing arrived in the post, and he's since moved address.
The question came up as he's due to hire another car in France in the next few months. I personally don't foresee any issue with the car hire, but he's a little worried that if he were to come to the attention of the authorities, would he have anything to worry about?
