BTCC - Knockhill
Discussion
I went to the touring cars a few years ago, maybe as many as 5 or 6 and had a great day and didn't need to queue too much.
Thinking of going along this Sunday but how is the traffic now getting in and out of Knockhill for an event like this?
What time would I need to get there in morning to avoid lots of stop-start queuing traffic?
My pet hate is having good days out ruined by ridiculous queuing on way in/out of venues!!

Might be stating the obvious, but get in as early as you possibly can. I was there last year and arrived before 09:00 and drove straight in. I think it got chaotic after about 10:00.
Get in early, grab a coffee/bacon roll and sit in the sun....
We left about 3/4 the way through the last race of the day and got away no problem. Leaving then was not an issue for us, we'd had our fill and were good to go.

Nice to catch up with you yesterday Col - and cracking shot
This was the best I could manage under race conditions when they pay more attention to track limits. On one wheel, but not quite so dramatic as your one:

I left just before the final podium presentations, and was on the motorway heading north in about 25 minutes which wasn't bad given the volume of traffic.

Got in about 10, queued for a bit to get in but nothing major.
Left after the last race, was in the field past the hard parking and nothing was moving. Wandered back to get food and nothing had moved. Probably took over an hour to get out but it must've been pretty close to a capacity crowd so can't really complain. Would probably have been as well getting food and watching the band but wandering back for scran killed quite a while.
Great day, can't believe knockhill was actually warm!
