I've ordered a battery conditioner from Leven as they did not have any in stock but I should really find out why it goes that way so quickly.
When I take the lead off the battery it sparks so there is a drain there somewhere, Leven suggested interior or boot lights, I've had a look and nither of those work anyway. I know that I have a poor earth somewhere at the front as the nearside headlight and indicator dim slightly but I don't think that this is related.

Any suggestions ?

The trip to Leven cost me an extra £45 for a handbrake handle (cheaper as it has a very slight mark on it)it does seem that every shopping trip for the car costs more than expected.

Could pull the fuses and relays one by one to see whether any of these stop the drain? If you do this, rather than connecting/disconnecting the battery each time I suggest you leave it connected with an ammeter in series. The inrush current when you connect the battery may be quite high, possibly more than the meter can handle, so I suggest you connect the ammeter to the lead with a short past the ammeter, connect the ammeter to the battery, then once it is all connected remove the short.

I measured the drain on my battery with a current meter in series with the positive lead. The car takes about 50mA, and my battery is happy for a month without a recharge.

It sounds like you have something leaking current, like the alarm, clock, stereo, light etc. You could try monitoring the current from the battery whilst you isolate the car circuits by removing one fuse at a time. This should give you an idea where it is going to.
