Are there any just for fun cycle events run at race tracks around the UK? I'm in the midlands so the nearest big circuits are Silverstone and Donington but I cant find much mention of cycling days. It would make a change from our usual routes!

I think Mallory and donnington both do cycle evenings, worth giving them a call. At Castle Combe it's organised by Chippenham Wheelers so the local Midlands clubs may know more.

Hinckley CRC usually run open midweek evening sessions at Mallory during the winter (need guards and lights).

Pretty sure the Donington events got canned after an incident involving fast/slow riders earlier in the year.

There's plenty of bike racing at Rockingham, but not sure about training/fun sessions. Have a google on some of the local clubs like Rockingham Forest.

Planet X and Circuit Days are running a team sportive/race at Oulton in late September.

There was due to be an outdoor circuit at Derby Velodrome, but I don't know if that's been built yet. I imagine that will have quite a few open sessions.

I saw something about the Donington event being cancelled. It's a shame if its a permanent thing because thats one of my local tracks.
