Imobiliser issues?
Discussion
Had the car cut out on me on the outside lane of the motorway last week, immobiliser kicked in, cut power to the fuel pump and starter. Car started fine when we got it off the recovery truck. No issues since, driven about 150 miles.
Today, car wouldn't start - same again, no power to the fuel pump nor starter. Turn on the ignition, hit the button on the fob, fuel pump won't prime, starter won't turn. Using the sqaure slot does nothing either.
Found out if I lock the car whilst in it, unlock it and immediately turn on the ignition then the fuel pump primes. If I leave it 10-15 secs after unlocking the car then I have issues.
Any suggestions? I've checked all the connections I can think off - everything seems to be correct.

My Griffith was doing similar.
Turned out to be a faulty fob. Had it re-soldered and checked over by an auto electrician
No problems since. Cost a whole £10. ;-)
So worth trying first.
Cheers - I'll get the spare out. Alarm and immobiliser was replaced a few years back with new fobsTurned out to be a faulty fob. Had it re-soldered and checked over by an auto electrician

Edit: Nope does exactly the same. Car will lock/unlock with either fob and only prime the fuel pump and start if I immediately hit the ignition. Square key does nothing.
