Swirl pot screw and oil drain plug...

Anyone know offhand whether these might be the same size? Seems that my 'Steve Heath' Allen Head sump drain plug may have made a run for it at some point and I can either hunt for it or just buy a replacement...

I believe they are indeed the same thread, not sure about length but that shouldn't really matter, remembering of course that the swirl pot filler plug isn't magnetic.

Yes, same thread on both. Hex key oil drain plug is a good idea 'cos the original spanner version can unscrew if you catch it on a speed hump.

Yeh definitely the same, I use the one from the classified for both swirl pot and sump plug.

Apparently my chassis is in good nick ... the comment was "The oil leaks seem to have protected it to a great extent..."

Thanks guys ... I think I'll just buy one of the ones from the classifieds ... wonder if I can get one of the guys in the workshops to mill it out and pop a magnet into it.

same here the out riggers are shot but the tunnel is in as new condition
