Dead things in road. Who do you call ???

Last week, 9-30pm, A1-Northbound Newcastle upon Tyne, bloody huge dead badger in lane 2, complete exhaust system, probably off car that caused death of Brock, in lane 3. Cars in front by about 150 yds obscured them until it was too late, car behind made sudden braking inadvisable, car in lane 2 made avoidance impossible. I chose to hit the exhaust pipe and luckily got away with it. Car in lane 2 didn't fare so well with Brock looking in my rear view mirror.
Who do you ring??? Is it a 999????

P= Pigs
C= Cow
S= Sheep
H= Horse
A= Ass
G= Goat
M= Mule
Dog= Dog.

So if you "Splat the cat" you dont need to tell them???
One thing I was told, if you hit a sheep on a fenced road it is the owner of the animal who has to cough up for your car as woolies are supposed to live in fields. On an unfenced road you have to pay for the sheep to be scraped up, repaired, or replaced and mend your car yourself.

BEWARE : If you ever drive on remote roads in Scottish mountains in the Summer -..... when its been a hot sunny day the sheep sleep on the tarmac at night because it retains the heat
- rather than stay on the hillside ....quite surprsing when you round a bend at 1am to come across a dozen sheep snuggling up to the warm tarmac.Streetcop said:

You missed the 'a' too.
Clearly, your spelling's a bit tired, and the 'a' should be an 'e'.....

A couple of years ago driving in the depths of the North West Highlands (near Lochinver) at around midnight we came across a huge herd of deer on and around the road! The reflection of the headlights in their eyes gave us plenty of warning, so we slowed to a crawl and spent a few minutes watching these superb creatures - during the daylight hours of our week around that area we'd seen no deer at all. Mind you, they taste great, too.....

False. I hit a [unfenced] sheep on the Isle of Skye once. Volvo Estate 1 - Sheep 0. Went to report it to the BiBs the following day and they couldn't have cared less. They were much more concerned that I wasn't going to pursue the farmer in the courts and that my car wasn't damaged than about the sheep. The BiB even saod that they kill half a dozen a year themselves. No fences = dead sheep.
