I have removed the rear diffuser for repainting which I thought was going to be easy but the 4 off hex socket countersunk screws holding it on were seized !! Copious amounts of WD40 and a bit of force eventually got them out.
Anyway, has anyone removed the 3 pieces of mesh just above the diffuser. I can see the left and right are bolted at the outer ends but am struggling to see if there are any other screws securing them to the underside of the bumper?

Incidentally what is the radiator behind the mesh? Is this for the gearbox oil?

I am almost certain that the answer is yes.

Correct gearbox oil cooler
Removed on S's & MY12.25 cars frown

Removing those meshes is a PITA and most times requires the bumper removing.

Well I tried everything to get the meshs' off the car but it deffo looks like a bumper off job.

I was wanting them off as they were showing small signs of corrosion so I was going to get them sprayed satin black along with the diffuser panel which I have already removed.

So I got a toothbrush and using WD40 I cleaned the mesh in situ and it has come up much better. You can see the difference in the attached piccies especially the 2nd showing the passenger side done and the middle section still to be cleaned.
