Hello All
I am about to buy my first Porsche a 2004 manual 997.1 Carrera S excellent condition also test driven and everything was good and checked HPI which is all clear spoken with specialist independent who last serviced and report came back good.
Full SH inc OP and recently independent also good paperwork trail.
The Porsche has had over revs report done as follows looks like the results of rev ranges 4,5,6 are anomalies.

The question is should I pull the trigger on this car or have further inspections done such as boroscope and full PPI really like this car heart says do it head says further checks just feel like I am going round in circles at the moment.

Any help much appreciated

Considering you are already feeling the need I think that if you did just go for it you would want to do the same when it's too late, so in your position and with your mindset I would go for a borescope.

If the news is good then your position is unchanged as you probably would have spent the money later, if the news is bad then you certainly would have got value for money. If you were to move the car on after only a couple of years the borescope and positive result would be worth possibly more than you paid for it in added value to a prospective owner and hence to you.

Yes as said, go for a boroscope anyway. Peace of mind and could potentially save you a fortune.

Just 2 ignitions in RRs 4, 5 and 6 are physically impossible to achieve.

Your dealer should indemnify you without a boroscope inspection.

Thanks everyone for responses so far, this is a private sale so no dealer warranty etc.

Over rev data seller had done locally, not sure why data in RRs 4-6 is presented as such but this is what the seller provided to me.

Yip, I'd only buy one of these now after a bore scope by someone who knew what they were doing.
