So after weeks of deliberating I've sold my CLK and am taking delivery of an A4 3.0 TDI this week. Black Edition so has a good level of spec including the B&O.

Very happy with the deal and is the perfect compromise for my requirements doing 15-20k per year and still something with enough grunt to be interesting biggrin. The V8 itch will have to be scratched at a later date

It's a 15 plate, and has done < 100 miles, pics to follow on collection.

For the moment:

Awesome car mate 👍🏻👍🏻

I nearly pulled the trigger on a couple of occasions for the avant 3.0tdi black edition. What's not to like? Flat bottom wheel, b&o sounds, the 19inch alloys....enjoy!

They seem to be nice cars - have had mine for a couple of weeks now.

Mine is a lot lower key than that one though, normal 18"s, no side skirts, no spoilers, no rear badges but does have the leather sports seats with the shoulder wings and a 3.2 v6 under the bonnet plus quattro drivetrain.

Enjoy!

The flat bottomed wheel for starters biglaugh

I know they're the in thing and look nice but I actually find it slightly annoying to actually use. It's a massive case of form over function and for me the A4/S4 flat section occupies too much of the wheel circumference meaning when turning sharp corners that require a second grab of lock or a bit of wheel feeding, you sometimes miss properly gripping the wheel because the flat section is about 2" inboard of where the rest of the rim is. Not really noticed it on the wife's new Leon which also has one, I think the flat section on that is significantly smaller though.
