Been to Christopher Neils today with Tom_allen (the exige). Had a nice look round at the cars and wooo would it be easy to get carried away and end up in £25k worth of debt. lol

They had 2 very nice cars there which have taken my fancy a 2001/Y sport tourer on 34k miles, £16995

&

A gunmetal grey, cloth interior, sports zorst, 51 plate and 4 speaker system with 19k miles, £17450

both cars are loverly but does the milage make much difference to the car? which one would you sugest and why?

cheers

Looked at them both myself when I dropped by to pick up a new wiper blade. They are very nice cars

I would look at how many miles your going to do then add that to how many years your are going to keep it.

For my 2p the older car has done an extra years work for a discount of just under £500 - so to me sounds a bit expensive.

You could always make me an offer I was being tempted by that nice red 111r sat in the corner...

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm 111r in corner! The sport 190 won it hands down for me! What sort of money do you think they would take for the cars?

£17k buys you a lot more in the classifieds here lads. There's an S2 111s in there for £17.5 with 23k on the dials.

You pays yer money, you takes yer choice eh!?

Personally I'd always go for something around the 20k mls mark which has been run in, taken most of the hit on depreciation, probably had most of the niggles run out/sorted and has a good year + before the C service hits your wallet.

All IMvHO of course.

I'd offer about 1k less the widscreen as a minimum.

and totally aggree with S Works on the 20k run in with niggles sorted - but 111r's in that spec just dont exist yet - so still open to offers :-)

I sold a Y reg ST in august with 16k on the clock for 16k. It had a sports exhaust & carbon airbox too. You could probably get that for a 500-1000 less now?

Unless the chassis is shagged, most things aren't going to cost you the difference to fix.
