unless of course you like films with medeocre acting, no plot and a contrived and predictable 'twist'.

2p etc etc

actually I have wasted enough money on that movie already so I'll take my 2 new pence back

Just be grateful you didn't have to watch it at the cinema.

I found some parts quite good but those were few and far between........on the whole it was craptacular.

Well I thought it was very good. What else did you expect - monsters and pitchforks?

Although monsters and pitchforks are ok (+/- at best) I was at least expecting something that at a braod stretch of the imagination and viewed through several Guinni (plural of Guinness) would at least pass the time.

Saw it on the plane, it was mildly interesting and the ending uncharacteristically thoughtful for a hollywood filum, the leader could be Blair, the monster terrorism, the nutter the shoe bomber etc

I though it was a brave attempt (by Hollywood standards) to comment on the fortress America mentality. Saw it on the plane too but it certainly passed the time.

Personally I think you're reading a little much into it, I don't see it as anything other than M Night Shyamalan's endless quest to out-twist his previous works.

I wouldn't recommend it, Unbreakable however is very underrated in my humble opinion. Signs also has it's moments.

Have you heard what the follow-up is to be called?

"The Little Fockers" remember, you heard it here first!

I borrowed a pirated DVD from a fellow PHer and for free, its definitely worth watching

I enjoyed it, not a bad film, but they could have done more with the ending.

I think the film was mis-sold, I am sure it is good if you like that kind of exploring human emotion and nature thing, but ,,,,, it was sold as another Signs or similar, it was sold as a creepy ghost/paranormal drama, and it wasn't! Hence getting the wrong film goers in.
I am sure it made a hell of a lot more money at the box office because of the way it was advertised (falsly, I think!), than it would have if it were sold as per premise!
I was bored, but I do like a good Zombie flick!!
