Alternator change
Discussion
Just before you remove the battery negative, airbox and the three hoses and temp sensor cable that connect to it, then the air filter and bolts inside the base of the box to expose it, how have you diagnosed the alternator as fooked? I ask as the 100 A fuse on the starter will confuse if you are not aware it is in line with the alty. 125's are the upgrade.
Simple to swap out just protect the paint on the wing as you will be leaning on it for a while.

Good shout from John.
Run the engine up and put a meter on the alternator - should get about 14V output, if it's doing a good job.
Definitely worth renewing the 100A fuse with a 'midi' type of the same rating or 125A. They are more mechanically robust than the strip type originals. Buy from your local motor electrical factors, about £2/£3.
