One of the fins/ flap is broken on the plastic vent on drivers side footwell. What are they off as I want to get a new one.
Thanks.

Let me know if you find out, I snapped the spring back on mine so had to glue it in. Mine never opened though?

You could probably get one from a breakers like TVR Dean/Glen or Douglas Valley for a price!

SPAL are quoting me £14.30 + VAT and £5 for delivery. Not exactly a few cents, but not the end of the world.
I have contacted a distributor who might be able to get them slightly cheaper - I'll let you know when I hear from him.

These are what I'm trying to get hold of.

It has 3 pivotting bits and a bit of wire at the back to retain it. It's used in my Tamora in the footwell. These are not the same as the dashtop vents which only have 2 pivotting parts.

Can you get the rad Spal fans from this place too, if so, do they still incur the TVR tax?

Now been quoted £6.48 each inc VAT by a distributor - much more satisfactory.
The distributor is Fereday Cars
http://www.feredaycars.co.uk/
contact sales@feredaycars.co.uk
He also does SPAL fans and I would imagine he doesn't do TVR tax.

Ok, so I have the replacements but how do you fit them?

The metal spring would need very strong and brave fingers to squeeze and place Ito the aperture?!

I have had some of the old ones out, i think you do just slide one side in and then spring the other wire in... Might need a fair amount of force!

Yes that's what I did, I also found that you can get a finger through the top slat opening to help. I did swear a bit and my fingers were a bit sore afterwards - but it's a TVR, all "simple" jobs are like that.
