Is this the right engine mount support?

Looking to offer some support to the Reserve's powerplant.

Not seen those before. Effectively a cup/cylinder round the rubber engine mount to reduce distortion. Not sure what the effect would be for road use.
The same advert did however refer to the 52mm engine mounts as part FP292 which is worth noting, also not it lists it for Pinto as well as Capri (which is where ours originate). Especially at this price, only £8.95 each.
They also list the gearbox mount as part GBT9400, at £24.95.
I will be getting a set to fit with the new engine...when I finally get it built!

Ah ha, I should have known it. Stainless components are not normally magnetic, but they are to Mike!
How have they worked out in practice Mike? I did wonder if they might increase strain where the 'rubber' is bonded to the top end, but I have a high opinion of Burton Power stuff so it should have been well tested.

It can be connected to any part of the engine / bellhousing / gearbox and the chassis as long as it is of a decent size (needs to take starting current) and good clean connections at both ends
On mine (S1) there is one from the lower right front of the engine to the chassis and another from the left rear of the gearbox.Gassing Station | S Series | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
