MOT caution of play in o/s lower Ball Joint play - should these be replaced in pairs ideally and do they affect tracking on replacement? Simple fit ?

Strange OE ones failed after 13k miles and on the o/s instead of n/s.......

Yes, they do affect the tracking, and the car will be transformed in the handling department if you go for a full four wheel alignment on a Hunter machine
