I've purchased a 1996 cerbera.
On the reg doc it states 4.5 but the intakes are the same as a 4.2.
Any ideas?

The 4.5 cerb as we know it didn't come out until the year after, but some early 4.2 cars were made with 4.5 bottom ends for "special customers .."

I am surprised it says 4.5 on the V5 as all the early 4.5s were regestered as 4.2 on the V5 .

you can find the engine number on the block by standing at the front off side and peering down below the off-side intake plenum.

AS its an early car then the block stamp might not help but it may have 42 or 45 in the code. Or it may have 42 and GT in the code which again signifies a 4.5

It's possible someone could have changed the engine and notified DVLA?

So you have a Tamora, T350c and a Cerb? That seems a little greedy.

That will be at best a guide as I have opened a grand total of two 4.2 engines with 4200 engine numbers and both were 4.5s.

Is it a silver one with red leather?

If so, it might be the one I used to own.

more importantly, if it's a 4.5 with a 4.2 intake then you have the best setup.

The DB9 is grey with burgundy leather
Cerbera is magenta red with grey
T350 yellow with black
