aston DB11 Wow.
Discussion
They must publish their magazine articles on their website, about a fortnight after their printed version.
We did have a discussion about this, but I thought including the image at that time, would not be the correct thing to do.
There is an amusing aspect to the front design. It looks as though the front of another car can be seen under the front of the bonnet.
Perhaps with the DB11 you get two cars. Very James Bond. -

If the timeline is true and IIRC from when I read the print article, it seemed in line with informed speculation, vanquish is to be replaced in 2020
If so, I wonder if they will simply discontinue it a couple of years before the replacement or alternatively, attempt to integrate the turbo V12 and some of the internals from DB11 into a revised Vanquish. If they don't do the latter, I just don't see how vanquish will continue to sell after DB11 is on the market

There always seems to be a market for the 'flagship' model, and probably a better percentage margin too. Therefore logic would indicate, a refreshed Vanquish model around the time of the DB11 introduction, to keep it as the top model.

I really hope they will do more to differentiate DB11 and vanquish/flagship going forward - it hardly seems worth right now having two relatively similar but different body shells on such similar underpinnings. I do think Vanquish is a wonderful car but it's biggest competitor right now is arguably DB9/DB11
Going forward, it would be nice to see at the very least, more of a Ferrari approach e.g. 456/550, FF/F12, 599/612. I get that vanquish is more aggressive looking, ever so slightly faster, etc but the real world difference between vanquish & DB9 GT, especially if they fitted the 8 speed in DB9 which they will in DB11, isn't really that great
