Seems most here fall into either having a V12 AM or a V8 AM. Anyone ever have one of each...at the same time?

Currently have a DB9. There is a good looking Vantage GT (Alloro Green) locally, with a manual trans. Don't want to give up the DB9 just yet, but am considering adding that Vantage GT. Would like a manual before they disappear.

How much of a wker would that make me?
To have both?

I wouldn't say w@nker :-)... maybe a little greedy lol

I say go for it... I p-ex'd my V8v for my DBS.. and wish I had kept both!.. if my old one came back up for sale I think I would be thinking about the man maths to get it back... so I say.. if you can do it DO IT :-)

PS- In my man-maths I included garage extension to keep both in... that did not go down well with her in doors :-(

I ran my V8V alongside my V12V for about 6 months, but found I stopped using the V8V. Then it was time for it to go.

Can appreciate that. Was thinking it might be different with the two different models. scratchchin

Think it would, esp if one's an auto and the other an automatic.

Owning two Aston Martins at the same time??? Utterly disgraceful and a poor show all round.

I agree LD. Just disgusting but I do agree that having a V8 and a V12 one would get a lot more mileage than the other - I think you would choose the V12 every time.

Would you ever choose a V8 over a V12??????

I couldn't do that myself. I would love to have two Astons but the V8V is a girly car wink

The V8 is a much better balanced car. No point having the extra power if you cannot put it down on the road. This is after driving one with a view to changing but I decided I prefer the V8. Now the DBS is something else altogether!!

So I picked up the car on the 18th. On the 19th, I left on a 4200 mile round trip drive to Texas. Drove down to see a friend and some family that I had not seen in a long while.

Got back last night after 2 consecutive 1000 mile days. It is a GT after all. Car ran beautifully. Was interesting to see it slowly change (for the better) as the miles piled up.

Needs a wash.
