Hi,

Does anybody know of the whereabouts of one of my old cars?

I have some important information for the driver and it would be good to catch up, to see how the car's doing.

There used to be a site where you could type in the reg number to see if was still on the road.

Can't think of it off-hand - think it was something to do with when it was last taxed...

Found something. Looks like it was last taxed in 2000/2001.

So it's either in someone's shed awaiting restoration, or it's now a toaster.

I had quite a few mk1 1.8 GTi's in the distant past, which TBH is the best place for them now.

My X plate 1.6 is much the same, although hasn't been taxed since December '98!

It was rough as they come when sold and was supposedly a 'project' but think the buyer just wanted the pile of bits from a Scirocco Storm and had to take the shell away to get them lol
