The blurb says its an 09 which should make it a 997.2 but pretty sure I have a few .1 on an 09 plate.

The chassis no. is: WP0ZZZ99Z9S

I am hoping it is a 997.1 but anybody know for sure??

Wow, what a mess.
The rear light clusters are Gen 2. (Mine is one of the first 997.2s registered in Nov 2008.)
I would say this is a Gen 2.

I am after a 997.1 3.8 S engine and some other bits, I would scrap the rest of the car and sell off any of the undamaged parts I don't need.

I would like to put the engine in my Boxster but I have been looking for years and have never been able to find one for less than stupid money.

Why not start a topic on 'How do I get a 997.1 3.8 S engine for circa X'?

Sure there'll be a few Hartech comments, but you may get some joy.

Theres a long thread out there where a guy did this swap, it was a very big job and didn't get him that close to the power output he was aiming for, surely cheaper to buy a 2nd gen car which is as fast and without the reliability woes of putting an allegedly unreliable unit in a modified car?
