Hi all

I've just received a NIP for 87 in a 70. It's a fair cop and I'm completing the form and going to send it back tomorrow.

My question is...what is the general timeline and procedure for these things? If (hopefully) I get a Fixed Penalty, how long does it take to come through? And do I need to send away my licence?

I'm going away at the end of October and need my licence to hire a car when I'm there...hoping that this isn't going to stuff things up!!

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks!

There are no fixed time frames, but it's normally around 4 weeks.

Mine was back quicker than that.

Thanks

Due to the abolition of the counterpart, I thought that endorsements might now be done automatically without surrendering your licence?

Don't know.

However, that would mean every court being equipped to do it. Much cheaper to send them off still. That end should then be a quicker turn around.

You still need to surrender your licence.
