So I have started travelling on planes a lot and my trusty sennheiser in-ears are just not performing well in the loud environments. I also want to get rid of the wires (as I am using my iPad to watch movies).

Can someone recommend some good ones please?

Not too sure about budget maybe £100 - £200? Should I spend more?

What do you suggest?

cheers
Mark

This is pretty much how it goes, choose up to 2 of the following: Good sound, Good noise cancelling, Bluetooth (good sound and good noise cancelling doesn't really go together).

Best for Bluetooth, Parrot Zik or Samsung level Overs. Best for sound, Sennheiser Momentum. Best for noise cancelling, Bose QC (not Bluetooth).

Thanks for this, it is really helpful!

Noise Cancelling is not as important to me as bluetooth so I think I am looking at Sennheisers. I have used Sennheisers for years so I am happy with that.

I guess I need to choose now between on-ear and over-ear.

I am flying through Gatwick next week so maybe I will see if they have them both to try.

I can't seem to find them on Amazon which is odd. Are they about to bring out new ones? There doesn't seem to be any indication of this on their website.

Many thanks
Mark

Ah, seems like the Sennheiser Momentum Wireless are hard to find, they are available here in Sweden though, not that that helps you. I would expect the Urbanite Wireless to sound better than most others in their price range as well, if they are easier to find.

Personally I would go for the best noise cancellation for inflight use, you won't really get any Hi-Fi experience while flying anyway and while sat in the same chair for hours on end, wireless isn't really that important either. But that's just me though smile

Hadn't heard of that before, the ones I briefly tried worked perfectly, maybe I was lucky then, or then it is as Sennheiser are saying and it's a problem with "some" of them.

Hmm tricky. Yes I do want some noise cancellation and the Urbanite ones don't have that I think.

Yes this is true but I just hate having to unwind/untangle the wires and I always end up in the aisle seat. Plus I want to be able to use in other situations too and wireless is a big plus for me then.
