I went there because it was the last southerly display (other than Goodwood), everybody was disappointed of course :/ After the announcement lots of people left rather than see the end of the display, a bit rude for the B17 really. Probably took me 25 mins to get out, not toooo bad... I think a lot of the delay was people turning right out of the field exit rather than just go left and use the roundabout, even though there were cones to direct people to do that. Probably a sign instructing drivers would help next year.
I enjoyed the show, but the car park organisation was absolutely piss poor and the catering was a joke.
Being let down by one catering company is not an excuse for how little catering they had.
It wouldn't surprise me either if there were serious questions asked by the council on wether the air show would be allowed next year because of the chaos it caused on the roads. The only reason for it was the parking attendants were too slow and didn't know what they were doing.
Tickets were all in advance so they knew how many people were coming, there is no excuse.

The exit traffic wasn't helped by the number of people who were parked up in the surrounding area (right behind the crowd line) merging in with ticket holders - a Vulcan-only issue I suspect. I believe it was the first show there but as you say, the catering was non-existant and the kids doing the carpark management were about as much use as a chocolate teapot. Ultimately they needed to be confident enough to yell at the idiots who barged their way into the queues slowing it down for everyone.

Diverted home after Goodwood due to technical issue. Bugger.
It never did Goodwood either, diverted home after it's Beachy Head photo sortie. It could be seen in the distance away to the east of Goodwood, circling around but then could be seen heading away north only a few minutes before it was due to run in for it's display.Gassing Station | Boats, Planes & Trains | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
