I have noticed that my old RRC is wallowing a little bit more than usual, I have had the underside rebuild 19 months ago (uj;s polybushed, brakes, etc) the onlyitem that has never been changed are the airbags, the car has been in my family since new and I have its total history even down to bulbs and wipers!. so am thinking at 140k on the original air suspension is amazing.

I have read a lot about Arnott replacement anyone confirm they are as good as people say? so was thinking of fitting arnott gen 3 air springs to my range rover classicm Arnotts don't seem to show them for the classic bust assume a bit of work P38 units will fit.

Am also still looking for uprated anti roll bars too

thanks

Been there, done that & although they are good, Arnott are not worth the premium IMHO.

Better to replace with Genuine airbags (try Island 4x4) and also look for a compressor refurb kit as doubtless your seals will be on their way out.

You will be far better off and also will be able o replace easily again in 5-odd years time.

The air suspension shouldn't 'sag'... Sure, if there's a leak, get it fixed but the height is electronically controlled.

Before you start replacing stuff, work out where the problem actually is. You might find it's just one of the height sensors needs adjusting but don't assume there won't be any problems with the recent work you've had done.

I've spoken to Arnott and they no longer sell Gen3 springs for the classic, to fit P38 springs you would need to modify the bottom mounts on the axle and I believe the pipe connectors are different.

If you fit different bags you will need to re-calibrate the ride heights, swapping with standard bags shouldn't need this.

You can make a lead and download software from the internet to communicate with the EAS ECU.

I have fairly new bellows on my bags, around 2 years old and a new compressor, gives a good ride. I keep meaning to fit the overfinch EAS box I have sitting on the shelf.

Mine sits too high at the front at the front and too low at the back. About 2 years ago the EAS software stopped connecting to the laptop, i've tried different leads, different laptops and it refused to connect. However the suspension works as it should, goes up and down etc.

Can the levels be adjusted without the software?

I guess you could alter the length of the arms on the height sensors but it would be a total pain to get right and I'm not sure it would scale properly to all ride heights. Why not just replace the ECU? Probably only cost £30 or so for a second hand one...
