MIL engine management warning light

Hi all
Went out for a drive yesterday in my 1999 speed six cerb. After 20 minutes the MIL light came on. Turned around and went home with the light still on.
Anyone have any thoughts or experienced this before ?

The only way to find out what caused it is to connect up the software, either the original or EvoOllies versions for PC or Aide's android version
Anything else is just pure guesswork as to the reason.
