If anyone still doesn't have a Gmail account (that wants one anyway) then post in this thread/e-mail me and I'll send you an invite.

Before I get the "What's Gmail" questions...

It's one Gig of web-based email. simliar to hotmail.

Very handy.

Might as well take a look as everyone keeps talking about GMail.

What's their model then, as I presume the invites mean you can't just register on their website?

Can someone please give me a quick summary of the advantages of a GMail account. As far as I can see, it's just a normal email account but you never delete any email.

Pretty much.

It's web based, so you don't need outlook to view it, so you can check your mail wherever/whenever.

You can send/recieve large attachments and the domain's pretty small, so they addresses are great for the lazy man!

Ah, so nothing really beyond hotmail/yahoo/BTopenword etc. beyond slightly higher storage space.

Won't gain anything over my domain accounts then, as I've GBs of storage an I've not yet send an e-mail large enough to cause problems

probably not no, but I had about 8 addresses, so I thought that this was the beast method to consolidate them.
