LS2 Headers - 2" Primaries??
Discussion
Does anyone know if you can buy off the shelf headers from Aus or USA with 2" primaries?
The largest I can find are 1 7/8", but ideally I'd like 2" as that will future proof the exhaust system for the LS9 engine that my engine builder wants to build me, as well as maximising the flow of the LS2 that he's currently building.
Or would these 2" headers for the Corvette C6 fit a 2008 plate VXR8? (Hopeful I know, but you never know)

Any help would be appreciated.

I'd say not a hope of any Vette headers fitting. The largest I can find are 1 7/8", but ideally I'd like 2" as that will future proof the exhaust system for the LS9 engine that my engine builder wants to build me, as well as maximising the flow of the LS2 that he's currently building.

And unless it's an insanely powerful n/a build revving its nuts off....you really wont need 2" and they can just make access around them difficult.
Cheers guys.
The main reason for the 2" primaries is for the LS9 engine build that we are currently talking about for the future, which is looking to achieve between 850-900bhp. So would rather buy once than twice.
For the current LS2 build I'm sure that 1 7/8" will be fine mated to a 3" system, as the LS2 heads and HH122 will be the main limiting factors on the current build anyway.
But I guess I'll see what happens.

You don't need 2" for that power level. If your builder wants to shift the torque curve to the right of the graph by that much he's prob falling outside the efficiency envelope of a PD blower. If boost is making the power, 1 7/8" will be more than enough...and then some, with a bit more to spare. The main reason for the 2" primaries is for the LS9 engine build that we are currently talking about for the future, which is looking to achieve between 850-900bhp. 1 3/4" would still be quite happy at that power level with boost.
And presumably you mean a dual 3" system, not just a 3" system ?
