Guys/Girls

Don't know if any of you have had similar or know what this particular problem might be caused by.

My wife owns a Mk5 08 plate Golf 1.4 TSI with 42k on the clock. Never had any bother with it....it wants for nothing and is kept garaged.

Recently (but not everyday) she has went to the car after work or sometimes in the morning and all 4 windows have been down about an inch. The car has been locked - no windows left open prior to leaving the car.

I cannot think what the problem might be?? It is very random and happens maybe once a week. I'm presuming there is an electrical fault somewhere?

Just wondered if anybody has experienced this? It was in for a major service recently and had a full diagnostic check carried out - I completely forgot to mention the problem as the car got picked up from the house.

Any ideas why this might be happening?

She's holding her finger down too long on the unlock button. If she holds it down longer still the windows will drop further.

Or it's getting pressed accidentally in a bag or a pocket?

It's a good 5 sec pressing the unlock button to cause the windows to drop and stop when button released.
