Forget the 14 day bit, if that's what you're thinking of - that's for the initial notice of intention to prosecute, which you were given at the time.

They have up to six months for the next step.

Was the "unmarked officer" wearing a bikini without "POLICE" written across the bra?.

What was the speed you were doing and what was the limit?

You would have been served the NIP at the roadside so forget the 14 day limit. If it's straight to court, it can take up to 6 months. If a TOR was filled in you will probably hear back in about 3/4 weeks with the option of a course or points.

Speed was 90mph in a 70mph limit. Issued me a ticket at roadside but didnt say how long it would take. If its 3/4 weeks i should hear fairly soon then.

In that case you will most likely be issued a conditional offer of a fixed penalty in 3/4 weeks time.

A small, but I always think important, point - you don't get a fine through the post, you'll get a penalty. Only a court can fine you.

An FPN has a court behind it.
