Press the little alarm fob and on occasion (daily still tho) the drivers door will not unlock -- not so much as even a 'click' inside the door. Passengers works a treat -- you do look like a bit of a plonker though pretending to need to put something in the passengers side before sneakily reaching over and opening from the inside !!

It doesn't happen ever time, probably every 3rd time or so ... ?!?

Any idease before it goes back next week !

Sounds like a sticky solenoid.

However, it may be what nearly happened to mine in that the cable that feeds the power to the solenoid nearly got cut through - so you could have an intermittent connection in there.

Your service agent should be able to sort that out, but if you fancy pulling the door apart you can find instructions at www.lotus-elise.org.uk/noble/svc_door.htm

Or it could be the adjustment on the wire that joins the locking rod/wire to the solenoid. - There really tricky to get right.... Mine sliped once and it took one of the guy's at the factory 30mins to sort out - but I'm sure they are well practised at it now.
