I hate it when these things happen

out in the Griff yesterday, running her in after having one cylinder lining and the camshaft barings replaced.

At a traffic light, just at the start of a highway section where you can really go for it, a Porker pulls along side of me, really showing off. At green, he blasts away. Since I have clear instructions of my dealer not to take her over 4000 rpm, I had to let him go.

I really hate this; I wanted to show him what a real sports car can do, but had to sit there and watch him disappear.
Somehow this feeling is more intense when it's a Porker.

It's pretty rare that you have these sort of encounters and it will probably be a while before I get my revenge. (o.k. quite childish, but still)

The only thing you can do in those circumstances is to give him an "after you" wave to make it clear that he didn't beat you, you let him past.
