Replacing split dash

I'm sure this is a old question but now much does it cost to have a dash replaced??

Most dealers seem to charge 3 to 4 hours labour. Then plus material, whether you do it in vinyl or paint; fit a replacement metal dash; fit a new or refurbish your wooden dash.

If you do it yourself that is. It's not a difficult job but you need to be methodical in your approach.

My dash has faded a bit. It's not patchy but I can remember how rich it looked before it faded and I would love to put a new wooden one in to replace it. However, I was behind the dash last week and couldn't even see the dash screw in from of the steering wheel. Not a clue where that one is located, all I could see from the upside-down lying on the driving seat position was lots of GRP and no screw. Lookly on that occasion I gained the access I needed by undoing the 2 on the near side.
I had previously been quoted around £250 for a new one fitted at a dealer.

Is that plus the cost of a new dash?
