I'll be fitting my new diff setup soon and have been told I will need the speedo re-calibrating to suit the 3.9 ratio, can in be done easily?

Dead easy if you have EFI live (and one assumes HPtuners) - find closest friendly person with a box to flash the ECU and buy a license?

You've lost me a bit there , I am totally unfamiliar with all of the above. I am on the Isle of Man so can't head to local rolling road as we don't have any over here. Modern tweeking is all new to me.

They're specialist bits of kit for reading and writing maps to our ECUs, and so limited numbers about - I'm in Bristol if you happen to be passing. An EFI live license is about £80 IIRC, not sure what an HPtuners license costs.

You could always come up with an excuse to get an upgrade from monkfish or walkinshaw, and get it done whilst you're there hehe

I'm far from expert, but I don't think there are many options.

There's EFI Live and HP Tuners. Find someone with either and they can sort it.

No, that's different, and for the record there was someone on here that tried the Superchips offering, and it didn't do much.

I'm not sure, but this could be something that Foxdie could deal with, via his mail order units?

^^^. You will need Efilive or HPTuners.

In Efilive there is a speedo app. You simply alter the cell with the diff ratio and everything else is calculated in the program.

You will need to buy a license and re-flash, after you have found a kind person to do it. If you have a drive up to me , I'll do it for free. Long way though.

if you don't do it and you are manual, it will just be your speedo out. If you are auto, all your shift points will be out too.

Thanks guys. A mate of mine might know if anyone has a machine on the island for the job so I'll give him a shout.

My UTE is 20 mph out at 100 mph. I just use my sat nav or an app on my mobile for an accurate reading......

Isn't this exaggerating your mileage too?

I take it you mean he lives on the island? That would be nice and handy if he could help me out, that is if he is contactable and doesn't mind. Any ideas how I could contact him? I've done a search on the website and have just emailed him.
