There is new one in box at The Toy Store in Dubai Mall
19900 AED is their price.
They also have a fully assembled one in a Perspex case - very impressive size.

Just in case anyone is looking.

About £3.5k - which is about what you'd pay here.

While impressive to look at when built, I (personally) don't see the 3500 quid in it. I understand it was far cheaper when first released

My winter project is to finish this build. I began sourcing the parts from Bricklink about three years ago! Have most of them, and I seem to recall the cost so far was about 600 GBP. Just need to re-inventory what I have and get the last few bits.

I assume you can literally get search on bricklink for a particular set, and it'll give you the inventory that way, and its then just a case of finding sellers on there to buy what you need?

Original retail price was £350. I nearly bought one about 5 times but I couldn't justify it at the time. The one that got away....

Beware that specific 10179 parts can be very expensive.

Planning on getting the last few bits for this in next couple of weeks, so will maybe do a build thread once I have everything

Yeah - suspect it'll be a case of looking through bits that aren't going to be on show being subbed in for cheaper bits where poss..
all a bit new to this, but i'm sure it'll be fun!

NNN : how long has it taken you to collect everything? any tips?

To be honest bricklink does all the hard work, breaking any set and then showing you sellers. It's easy to end up spending a lot on postage if you don't plan your purchases though so it isn't necessarily best to buy from the cheapest source if you can't buy lots of parts from them. So factor postage in to your purchases and try to minimize the number of parcels. You'll likely end up buying from all over Europe and maybe further afield.

I've been buying bits for the Falcon for a couple of years, but only because I buy some bits then get distracted and leave it for a while!
