I recently upgraded to a Samsung6 mobile to replace an old iphone, but of course the lead that goes between the phone and the socket in the car is different. Does anyone have any idea where I should start looking for a new lead?

Thanks Q

An Android Smartphone like your Samsung doesn't support the Apple iPod Protocol, which is used with the special plug.
But there should be two other ways:

1. Switch your S6 to Mass-Storage Mode for the USB Connection and use the standard USB-Micro cable. The car should recognize your phone like an USB-Flashdrive and you select the title on the Audio-System.

2. Use the Bluetooth-Audio Connection, but here you have to select the titles on the phone. For the Phone the car looks like a big headphone :-) But you are able to Pause and skip a title with the controls of the car.

Or alternative: Copy the Music files to an USB-Flashdrive which you use in the car permanently.

(Hopefully the 2009 MY System provides the same function then the Audio System on my 2015)

Thank you EvoOlli for your reply, I'll give those suggestions a go and report back!
