intermittent PAS failure

After rebuilding my pas system I had PAS fluid from my local supplier in it. After a day or two the PAS started to make noises when in use, same noise as when you turn far right or left. I then emtied the resevoir and put in some ATF which made it better... did that 2 times so its 50/50 atf and yellow stuff...
Nowadays the PAS loses power some times, like, im driving slowly and suddenly the steering becomes heavy.
Do I need to rebuild the whole thing or is it enough to flush the system out and put in the red ATF stuff?

Has the level dropped a tad in the reservoir Ole,,,I'd check it's not started leaking at the gator ends,,
Maybe the pumps giving in,,,
Hopefully it just needs the right fluid.
When I removed my rack I didn't actually empty the rack itself but did replace the fluid,, you've obviously turned it from lock to lock a bunch of times to remove any air.
Years ago as a kid I sold some brake fluid to some poor bloke,,,I'd shook the bottle up,,,
He couldn't get rid of the air bubbles,,,we gave him a fresh bottle and all was well,,,I still don't know if it was just me shaking up the bottle that caused the issue ????
I'd drain it all out and try again!

As above.
Flush through with ATF, and leave the return pipe that goes back to the reservoir off and put it in a bottle or something else to collect the fluid.
Run the engine and keep topping up until it is thoroughly flushed through. Reconnect fill up turn the steering from left to right many times, top up and test.
I have found with my current chim that it takes ages for all the air to bleed from the system, in fact many miles after doing the above.

you are sure that nowhere is leaking the pas - rack inside ?
Here are one new design / construction from us speciall for the power - seal on the rack / shaft.
It´s speciall maded for tvr pas steerings ......
