Warranty comeback on bodywork job - any ideas?
Discussion
Good afternoon.
Quick question which I need any help on as battling an AM body-shop.
Had a 'bubbling' issue on my '05 DB9 O/S wing which was corrected through AM in Amersham in November 2013. The same fault then reappeared in exactly the same spot in April 2014, so was redone (again by AM approved body-shop through Amerhsam).
Now the bloody thing has come back again in the same spot (again), but this time is worse that ever - does anybody know where I stand on warranty on an AM approved repair?
Might have to claim on my car insurance but trying to avoid if possible.
Any help gratefully received.

I had same problem, was told the only explanation for repeated bubble, also in same place, was gel coat had broken down. Body shop removed all paint when bubble returned, described surface as powdery, allowing moisture to penetrate through from behind. They were pulling their hair out!

Well surely the solution is to preserve hair and just put a new wing on it.Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff

and they have convinced the body shop concerned to rectify it FOC. Stirling effort and a big pat on the back to the individual concerned at AM.
