Selling to a Specialist
Discussion
Hi All,
Which specialists would you recommend for selling your car to in the Surrey area and close to?
Unfortunately some house related calculations were a bit out and my car probably needs to go quite swiftly so can't afford to advertise.
Details in my profile but car in question is a 2005 997 C2S Cabriolet, 49k miles, kept in Porsche warranty for 10 years i.e. in approved used condition.
Thanks

If its that good with proper history why not advertise on here first its free ,I have seen correctly priced private c2s selling within a couple of days of being advertised and that way you will get all the dealers fighting over your car as good clean 911's don't grow on trees,If you go to the dealers they think they are doing you a favour...

Thanks, did this in the end and have 3 people interested, of which 2 are dealers :-).It is, however, priced much lower than it is worth to me :-(

Exactly this, won't write out the prices, however going to the specialists direct, they were offering between 10-20% less, what 2 x dealers have just offered me from seeing the advert. Strange but will be sold today for the asking price, which is the cheapest of it's type and condition/mileage on PH by a few £k.Why not stick it on PH at trade price for a day or two? And by that I literally mean if you are getting trade offers of, for example, £25k put it on for £26k and be done with it. You know all the retailers are going to mark it up £2-£3k.
I sold my 997 in under 24 hours from listing on here to waving the new owner off in it.
Its all about the right price.

I sold my Cayman S through 911V in 2010, they offered the best price for a quick sale (I was moving overseas) and the car needed a few bits doing before sale (wheel bearing and painted rear bumper). They were a pleasure to deal with and I would use them again. Only reason that I haven't is that I haven't sold my next Porsche since buying it in 2010!
