Just listened to the last 10 minutes of the debate on R5 this morning, well done Paul for utterly destroying the arguments of the chap representing the speed camera safety partnerships.

Loved the way that one of Paul's replies was so eminently reasonable and not 'pro speeding' (to coin a phrase) that the presenter type assumed that he was the pro camera bloke. I think he was invited on to froth at the mouth and 'be a speed freak', if so it backfired.

It was radio 5 so there will be a copy under the "listen again" section sometime later I expect.

Would also say that Paul did a good job - interesting that the majority of those phoning and texting in were also anti camera.

Cheers

Paul

Hear hear. Lots of common sense talked and Paul failed to fit into the 'pro-speeding' pigeon hole that so many would like him to fit.

TBH I was a little diappointed at first

No rebuttal to the "one third of accidents are speed related" (I did try to phone in) and no specific examples of the RTTM (most listeners would not know what was being referenced)

The end was much better

Please see this as consructive
