We have a Sony 3D TV, and I've never been able to get it working in 3D mode. The Mrs moaned the other night as she bought the glasses as a present for me and we've never used them!

To be honest it's not a feature I'm bothered about, but I promised I'd try and get it working as we have a few 3D blue rays... Anything for a quiet life!

I'm using a PS3 as a blu ray player and understand these can broadcast in 3D, but am I missing something simple?

TIA!

Try replacing the HDMI Cable.
Many work fine in HD but won't carry a 3D signal. They either work or they don't. (But don't need to be expensive).

Are you passing the HDMI signal through anything? i.e. AV Receiver. The Receiver must be 3D compatible to pass through the signal.
If using an AV Receiver are you outputing to two screens? E.G. TV and projector. Both need to be 3D compatible even if one's only on standby (Although unlike my BD player, I do find that the PS3 is less fussy in this respect).
Are you using an HDMI splitter. 3D will almost certainly fail if so.

I'm frustrated that 3D and HDMI links are very fickle. And when it doesn't work, there no clue as to what link in the chain may be wrong.
Good luck.

For 3D to work on my TV we have to tell the source the correct 3D version the TV works with. It's either active or passive. Until we tel the source the TV just shows 2D.
